Atölyede orta çağ paradigmasından modern paradigmaya geçiş üzerinde durulacak ve modern paradigmanın hangi ilkeler üzerinde teşekkül ettiği tartışılacak, ardından bu paradigmanın ilkelerinin billurlaştığı dönem olan Aydınlanma hem felsefi hem tarihsel şartlarıyla ele alınacaktır. Buna bağlı olarak modern felsefeye ve Aydınlanma’nın akıl anlayışına yöneltilen ilk eleştiriler Romantizm, Pragmatizm, Dilthey, Husserl ve Nietzsche üzerinden ana hatlarıyla ortaya konulacaktır. Postmodern düşünce iklimini hazırlayan tarihsel şartlar da dikkate alınarak bu iklimde yetişen düşünürlerin yaslandıkları epistemolojik temeller detaylandırılacak ve buna istinaden bilhassa Aydınlanma döneminde şekillenen felsefi yaklaşımlara yönelttikleri eleştiriler serimlenecektir. Lyotard, Foucault, Deleuze, Derrida ve Baudrillard gibi düşünürler tüm detayıyla olmasa da konuyla ilgileri bağlamında tartışmalara dahil edileceklerdir. Çerçevesi çizilen bu teorik zeminden yola çıkılarak çağımızda sanatın postmodern düşünce iklimiyle nasıl bir ilişkisi olduğu örneklerle uygulamalı olarak gösterilecektir.
Bu atölyenin ilk amacı katılımcılara ana hatlarıyla da olsa modern ve postmodern dönemler hakkında teorik bir çerçeve kazandırmak, detaydaki tartışmalara sadece gerektiği ölçüde yer vererek sonraki okumalarında meseleleri teşhis ve tahlil edebilmeleri için onlara bir zemin hazırlamaktır. İkinci temel amaç ise teorik meselelerin pratikteki yansımalarının örneklendirilmesi sayesinde katılımcıların teori ve pratik arasındaki sıkı bağı idrak etmeleri konusunda onlara yardımcı olmaktır. Dolayısıyla burada tek tek düşünürler ve akımlar bütün detaylarıyla ele alınmayacak, aksine ana kavramsal çatılar üzerinden katılımcılara sağlam bir çerçeve kazandırılmaya çalışılacaktır.

- Hafta: Dil felsefesi kavramları çerçevesinde Baudrillard’ın simülasyon teorisinin sanat alanındaki yansımaları.
- Hafta: “Sanat” kavramının felsefi boyutlarıyla ele alınıp incelenmesi.
